The most ambitious project I have partaken in is one I am currently working on for my Workshop class in university. SyncroChromia is a rhythm first-person shooting game in which the player must shoot differently colored enemies with the correct colored bullets to the beat of a song. It is being developed by a team of 13 other game developers along with myself, and I am part of the design team. My responsibilities include contributing to the development of documentation, designing systems and mechanics, and most prominently level design, among other things. My time has been greatly occupied this semester with the development of the first level in the game. It's a vibrant forest, full of hills and mystical trees and foliage. Landmarks include a fallen tree that nearly blocks the player's path forward, a large lake overlooking a cliffside, and a massive tree in the level's largest chamber. While the level is still in development, it's nearing a complete state.
