The most ambitious project I have partaken in is SyncroChromia, a rhythm first-person shooting game in which the player must shoot differently colored enemies with the correct colored bullets to the beat of a song. It was developed by a team of 13 other game developers along with myself over the course of two semesters, and I was part of the design team. My responsibilities included contributing to the development of documentation, designing systems and mechanics, and most prominently level design, among other occasional tasks. I designed the first and fourth levels of the game. The first level is pictured above. It's a vibrant forest, full of hills and mystical trees and foliage. Landmarks include a fallen tree that nearly blocks the player's path forward, a large lake overlooking a cliffside, and a massive tree in the level's largest chamber. This project greatly expanded both my design capabilities as well as my communication skills and coordination with teammates. The game can be downloaded for free on Steam!

The pictures below showcase another level I worked on for this project, our final level which has the player go through the headquarters of the main villain, a tall, gloomy skyscraper with an ocean of cubicles. I was only in charge of the whiteboxing and playtesting for this level and asset implementation was done by a different level designer, so the images showcase an early stage of the level design process.
